All daily work due during an absence must be completed within three days of returning. Work assigned prior to a student’s absence must be turned in no later than one day after his/her return. (**see next page**) 3) Each student is expected to keep an organized binder or notebook for the class. A Table of Contents will be provided for each unit and students should make time throughout the week to update the binder or notebook. Parents are expected to provide the binder unless otherwise arranged with the teacher. 4) Students will be issued an agenda and must bring it with them to class daily. ************* 5) Students are expected to have a pen/pencil and writing paper every day. 25 Books Project
This year we as a school as emphasizing that each child read 25 books. We are encouraging you as parents to read to your child and read with your child. The children will be given reading logs to record their progress. If they read books with over 100 pages they will count as one book. For example a 300 page book will count for three books. We will encourage students to read in homeroom, during the day, and of course for homework. Your cooperation will greatly help us to allow all students to achieve this goal.
