This year the

Media

Center

is offering a new way to listen to your student’s favorite books. Students will now have the chance to check out playaway audio books from the

Media

Center

. A playaway is the newest format of audio, with an easy-to-use player all in one small unit.  All you have to do is press play to start listening immediately – there is no need for a separate player, and it comes with earbuds and a battery to make it play. Each playaway contains an entire book regardless of length. A playaway weighs only 2 ounces and can easily fit in a pocket for ultimate portability and multitasking.

 

 

 

Your child can check out a playaway just like they check out a book from the

Media

Center

. They can borrow a playaway for two weeks and renew it for another two weeks.  Just like a book, if your child loses or damages the playaway, they will be responsible for the payment of the playaway. The cost of a playaway starts at $35.00 and can go up to $80.00.
