My name is Matthew Short. I am an 8th Grade Social Studies (Georgia Studies) teacher at Griffin Middle School. I also currently serve as the Social Studies Coordinator for Griffin. I graduated from Western Carolina University in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science Education with a Minor in Political Science. After teaching in North Carolina for one year I moved to Cobb County and began teaching at Griffin. I was selected the Griffin Middle School Teacher of the Year for the 2005-2006 school year.
