8th Graders: We are finishing up the American Revolution unit, with a focus on the effects. Also, students will complete the Georgians in the American Revolution Graphic Organizer. Also, they will take the historical fiction book assessment on either Johnny Tremain, Jump Ship to Freedom, or My Brother Sam is Dead. The book assessment will be on Wednesday and Thursday.
7th Graders: The Korean War Webquest was turned in this week. Additionally, students learned about Singaporean Laws and were asked to evaluate Order vs. Freedom. Students compared and contrasted the benefits and consequences of the U.S.' style of government and laws and the Singaporean government and laws. This assignment is to be turned in on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday and Thursday in class, students will collaborate on the East Asia In Depth Country Analysis IRA, which I have attached. This assignment is due on Friday (Silver) and Monday (Blue).

6th Graders: Students have been learning about the causes, major events, and effects of the Russian Revolution. Students collaborated on the Russian Revolution WebQuest IRA, which is due on Wednesday and Thursday. Students also will choose between the test and the project for the 2nd Europe historical fiction novel on Wednesday and Thursday. The project option will be due on the following class day. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, students will be learning about World War 1, with a specific focus on the causes, major events, and effects.
