8th Graders: Students took the first Colonialism book assessment this week (Silver-Thursday, Blue-Friday). STudents, who chose to complete the book assessment project will need to turn it in on Monday, 9/27 (Silver) and Tuesday, 9/28 (Blue). Also, we began our Exploration and Colonization unit. Students participated in a "Persuade the Pope" Activity and students finished presenting their Native American IRAs.
7th Graders: Students presented their Middle East projects and the Breadwinner book assessments. Also, students begin the History of the Middle East unit. This week we discussed Ancient Middle Eastern History up to the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Also, students were given a journal response to complete by Monday, 9/27 (Silver) and Friday, 9/17 (Blue).
6th Graders: Students presented their first Europe book assessment project. We also continued learning the locations on European countries. Also, students learned about the governments, economies, and environmental problems of Europe. Students were given an Environmental problems review sheet, which will be due on Monday, 9/27 (Silver) and Tuesday, 9/28 (Blue). Also, students were introduced to the Environmental Problems IRA, which we will work on in class, following the fall break.
