The Robotics club is in its third year and we are very excited about this upcoming year. In 2006 at the state competition held at Georgia Tech, the Robotics team won the Spirit Award.
Fist Lego League is a fun and exciting club that helps excite students with hands-on experience and invites students to think like engineers as well as scientists. The club members will conduct research and solve real-world problems that are based on a challenge theme. They will present their research and solutions as well as build and program a robot to complete specific tasks. The team will then compete at a local competition.
Mission: “Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.” http://www.firstlegoleague.org/us/
