We have worked on finishing up the environmental issues that affect Africa over this last week. A couple of the classes will need to finish presentations on a poster project and some others are completing a graphic organizer on the issues, but next week we will be moving on to the next section. Students seem to be more involved and motivated so far this semester. This has been great to see! I will include more details about lessons on Monday, so please check back.
IMPORTANT: Student led Conference Week will be next Mon, Jan 26 - Fri, Jan 30. Parents and Guardians should have returned the invitation with the appointment time. For those who have not, please contact me or your child's advisement teacher. I can be reached at Robert1.Brown@cobbk12.org or at 678-842-6917 x 604. Conference week will be early release each day. Please make arrangements.
IMPORTANT #2: I-Parent will be updated fully on Monday. Please check it Monday night or Tuesday morning for a complete listing. Students will receive a progress report on Tuesday showing them where each stands. They are not required to bring it home, but parents might want to ask.
Our Student of the Week for Silver Days this week is Jennyfer M. (S2) and for the upcoming week is Iridian P. (S3) The current Student of the Week for Blue Days is Liliana M. (B4) and the two for next week are King N. (B3) and Yaren Gonzalez (B4). Each of these students do a great job at coming to class with a positive attitude and a readiness to learn. Congratulations!
A Thought to Remember: "Take the attitude of a student, never be too big to ask questions, never know too much to learn something new." - Og Mandino (American essayist and psychologist)
