On Friday, November 14, Silver Classes-workedon a graphic organizer that covers the advantages and disadvantages of the market, command, and traditional economies. The students also completed notes on the very basics of economy and the three types to be studied. (The note sheet and power point are below. A large number of students did not turn in their take-home quiz and are losing ten points per day. I am disappointed to say that some did not even pick up a copy or use the time in class given on Wednesday.
On Monday, November 17, the Blue Classes will complete the notes from the short power point, follow-up on how each system answers the three economic questions of (1) what to produce? (2) how to produce? (3) for whom to produce?. Classes will move on to element b regarding mixed economies and the continuum between pure market and pure command.

IMPORTANT #1: 4 1/2 week Progress Reports will be going home Tuesday, November 18. I will be sending home social studies reports on Monday and Tuesday with a detailed listing of grades and assignments, as well.
IMPORTANT #2: Please remember to get the take-home quiz turned in. We still have a large number of students who have not handed this in. Ten points are taken off for every day it is late. This is a formative assessment grade.
Congrats to the following Students of the Week: Juan V.(Silver 2) and Chassidy H. (Blue 4). You two are such outstanding assets to your classes. Thanks for all you do to make the impact you do!
